River came to rescue from a puppy mill. He is a 9 year old, 67 lb. Golden Retriever and we know he is thankful to be with TGRR! He will be a great companion for someone living in a rural area with a fenced yard, no children. Due to his nine years in a kennel, he is slow to warm up to new people, but he will definitely bond with and be a wonderful companion to his forever person. It's just visitors who will be scary for him. At the trainer's, he is learning basic obedience to help build River's confidence and trust. We believe he will be happiest as an only dog.
