The Pet of the Week for Helping Hands 4 Paws is Beckham.

Helping Hands 4 Paws is a small, foster home based rescue out of Winston-Salem, and we focus our rescue efforts, TNR work, and educational opportunities in Forsyth, Davie, Davidson, Randolph, and Guilford counties. We currently have fosters in Guilford, Davidson, and Forsyth county. We rescue, foster, and adopt out mainly cats and small dogs.

Beckham just celebrated his 4th birthday and would love nothing more than a forever family as a late birthday present. Beckham is a very laid-back, independent boy who appreciates a good soft blanket & nap time beside his person. He is the perfect age where he is well out of the crazy kitten phase yet still super playful. Yet, he LOVES a game of hide and pounce or "soccer" -somebody throwing a ball across the room for him to kick it back to start the game all over again. Beckham also does a great job of entertaining himself, and his favorite toy is a turbo scratcher to see how fast he can get the toy going.

Beckham would prefer a calmer home with no dogs because that's what a "cool cat" like him deserves. He was rescued from a home where the resident dog terrorized him and he has never recovered from it. Beckham was originally adopted as an older kitten and returned 2 years later after the family decided to get a dog. Beckham does live with other cats in his foster home but he really loves the companionship of people over other cats so his dream would be with cat-only people where he was the prince of the house so he could give his adopter(s) his undivided love & attention.  Since he is still young and playful, he does occasionally like to play bite during "game time" so he would do best in a home with older kids or no kids - or even better empty nesters who just want a snuggle bug and Netflix binging buddy.

The adoption fee is $100 for Beckham, and he neutered, up to date on shots, Felv/FIV negative, microchipped, and litter box trained.
