The event is headlined by Silk Groove, the hottest party band on the east coast! The Grand Opening will also feature food trucks, vendors, bounce houses, classic cars, and military vehicles. The Heroes Center will welcome visitors beginning at 11am and the dedication and ribbon cutting will take place at 1:30pm. Sponsorships are available to assist in the ongoing renovations

About Heroes Center When Vietnam Vet Bob Uber learned a local church campground stood empty 50 weeks out of the year and that 15% of veteran students at Guilford Technical Community College are without housing, he did the only logical thing – found a way to connect the two. He founded the Heroes Center in High Point, NC. The serene location of the Heroes Center, only minutes from GTCC campus and downtown High Point, offers a safe haven for veterans to spend quiet time by themselves or around vets who are in school and undergoing similar experiences. Hunting, fishing, clay target shooting, hiking, small lake boating and campfire discussions are just some of the community activities.
