Former Davidson County Sheriff Gerald Hege has confirmed he's running for Sheriff in effort to unseat David Grice.
Hege's previous tenure as Sheriff was controversial, lasting from 1994 to 2003.
It ended with Hege pleading guilty to two felony counts of Obstruction of Justice, which forced him to resign from his post as part of a plea bargain. Click here for more details from News 2
